We don't buy 'big' presents for each other, but instead get lots of stocking fillers. Things i've got for my husband are
Socks, chocolate (Ferrero rocher and reese's), car freshener, beanie's instant coffee (jaffa cake flavour! But they do many flavours), bath bombs (he loves baths more than me!), a scratchcard, ale, a t-shirt, a tea towel (sounds a bit dull this one, but it features something on it i think he'll appreciate :D), toiletries. He's 28 and I do find with every year it gets more and more difficult to think of stuff to get!
    Mortgage started 2015: £150,000 2016: £130,000 2017: £116,000 2018: £105,000 2019: £88,000 2020: £69,000 2021: £51,195 2023: MORTGAGE FREE!

Every year I do my boyfriend a "man hamper".

The hamper is specific to him and has only things he likes. The key is that nothing is fancy. Yes, whiskey fudge and Guinness flavoured chocolates etc that you see in the supermarket gift aisle would probably be enjoyable but the key with his hamper is that it just contains the normal cupboard items that he enjoys. Nothing fancy about it.

Basically I go to the supermarket and browse each aisle and choose things that he regularly eats and likes. HP sauce, Branston pickle, a pack of Bountys (yes he eats Bountys. I think he might be a serial killer), doritos, fruit pastilles, craft beer, I've even put Colman's mustard in there before.

He absolutely loves the hamper because it's not some fancy gift thing it's just a collection of all the things he enjoys.

Also, as he doesn't like "stuff", one key advantage is that everything disappears over the course of the next month or so, so nothing hangs about. In the past I've built the hamper inside a fun receptacle like a big drinks cooling bucket. But as we have enough baskets and stuff nowadays I just put it in a cardboard box and stack it all up then wrap the whole thing in that clear wrap you can buy on a roll.

I bought men’s valet trays a few years ago, for all the crap that men keep in their pockets.  Lots of ones on eBay, etsy, etc at lots of different price points

yes that's a great idea. cheaper than ordering from an intermediary and much more pleasant because it is made by hand!

I will really think about this idea - it seems suitable to me, but I'm not sure whether my man will use it or throw things around as usual ))

Tbh I've found it difficult to buy my DH this year and have stuck to alcohol and toiletries. It's because there's a distinct lack of stock in the shops this year which are for various reasons but all relating to the pandemic. So what we've said is we'll buy each other 'token items' with a view to spending more next year on something household but leisure related (we're thinking of a garden bar) and calling that our present.
I'm just in from a shopping trip with teenage daughter and she's bought her boyfriend various items but all very specific to his tastes in terms of what he will wear and use rounded off with some concert tickets but for Autumn next year, so there;s a chance it'll actually take place!

Thank you for your comment. this is useful)
the idea of a garden bar is very cool, we are currently renovating and we also think a lot about decorations and decorations. I recently ordered one poarok - these were twin monkey wall lamps - that's what he wanted. in general, there are a lot of gift ideas for the home_ it's good if both appreciate such gifts)

My husband is a tea snob :D I do buy him tea at Christmas but only because the stuff he likes is so flipping expensive that I can’t afford to buy him it normally :D This year he’s got a caddy of T2 Irish Breakfast tea plus an extra box, a caddy of Ringtons Tea, 2 boxes of Bewleys Dublin Morning Tea (this stuff is stupidly expensive as it has to be imported from Ireland, and that’s before the charges for paying in Euros!) and a big box of Twinings Strong English Breakfast tea as it was on offer in Morrison’s.
    This is the best tea!
A smile costs little but creates much :)
