Hi can you help. Back in 2008 after a sticky divorce i got into financial trouble with NAT WEST who registered from memory a CCJ for an unpaid credit card. Eventually years later we agreed a small payment amount monthly of £25, this debt was bought by Arrow Global Guernsey limited. The CCJ disappeared 6 years later and i have remained paying the small amount monthly. Yearly they write to me harrassing me to pay off the debt which i refuse saying i am happy with the current set up. Last year Drydens solicitors issued me a court order to put another CCJ against my name. I wrote to the court explaining i was paying and had already had a CCJ for this debt. It went quiet for a year and now they are back again threatening court action and that they have no trace of the CCJ even though i sent them all the details to them and the court. I have read some of their reviews on trustpilot and it is shocking, these are bullies running under an umbrella of solicitors drydensfairfax solicitors in Leeds. I have a statement now which also shows even tho it didnt go to court they charged me a further £400 court costs last year wiping out over a years worth of payments. I really want to find out if you can tell me my rights and whats the best way to get rid of these horrible bullies1

Challenge the £400 in writing, ask for a breakdown of this figure. You did the right thing by writing to Drydens, unfortunatly you made the mistake of thinking they were a reasonable outfit to deal with, when infact they are anything but.All you can do is send copies of your evidence again, along with another letter. If they insist on following the legal path, you would just defend the claim on the basis legal action has already been taken, and judgement cannot be handed down twice for the same debt, then let the court figure it all out, no sence getting upset about it, let the system do the donkey work for you.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the Debt free wannabe, Credit file and ratings, and Bankruptcy and living with it boards.
