Looking for help and support and where to start basically. I have never remortgaged in over 12yrs since buying first home. At the time we had very little deposit so were unable to have a high Street lender (so we were told) Where do I start. Monthly amount has always been roughly the same in all those years so now really looking to get this cost down. If anyone can shout at me and offer support I would be super grateful. Thank you

Best bet is to speak to a broker. If you don't have a broker some of us who post here are independent brokers and we are identifiable by our signatures. We are not allowed to approach posters but most of us are happy to respond to pm's asking for help0

What rate of interest are you getting at the moment and what LTV percentage are you on currently? If you have not added to the mortgage and you live in an area where the house prices have increased undoubtedly you will probably get a better deal. Have you approached your current lender to see what the best deal is they can give you?I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the Debt free Wannabe, Budgeting and Banking and Savings and Investment boards. If you speak to a broker they can take a look and see what is around for you.
If it is fairly straightforward then it should not take long to sort out and get you on track to save each month.I am a Mortgage AdviserYou should note that this site doesn't check my status as a mortgage adviser, so you need to take my word for it.
