Candlewick bedspread question

-
We had nylon sheets at one point - you sparked every time you turned over in bad.
I do recall visiting grandparent in the days of no indoor heating other than the sitting room fire. Bed had 26 layers of blankets, (I exaggerate, but not by much), candlwick bedspread and eiderdown. Once you were in, the weight of bedding completely pinned you down and movement was near impossible.
All shall be well, and all shall be well, and all manner of things shall be well.
Pedant alert - it's could have, not could of.0 -
