any of you still have PS1, if so how do you connect it to a modern TV as if I remember right it needs a SCART connector but my TV’s don’t have one.
What do you guys use instead?

Something like a Framemeister would be the way to go. Unfortunately, they tend to be expensive and hard to find.0

If you search for PS1 HDMI on eBay/Amazon etc there are adapters available

Make sure you buy the correct connector. HDMI to Scart is different to Scart to HDMI0

Yes and LCD one is fine. Just make sure it is a 4:3 one. (Yes they did exists, yes I keep one for such purposes. 20 inch 4:3 is a resonable size).1

I use my PS2 with its original composite (yellow red and white) cable. The same type of cable should work with a PS1 (if memory serves it's the same cable for PS1, 2 and 3).
It will look poor on a modern TV, but will be playable.
It looks like this - https://www.amazon.co.uk/Generic-SYSTEM-Audio-Video-Cable-Red/dp/B00DSK4DXY/ref=sr_1_3?dchild=1&keywords=ps1+cable&qid=1604509177&sr=8-3
