Where do you get your long life lightbulbs??

My bulb has been flickering recently, and I just wondered how you manage to keep the light switched on long term.
I know that a lot of you, like me, are in for the long slog, but how do you keep the momentum. I was quite pleased with how I was managing, but now I just feel so flat. The letters have stopped arriving, and the panic has settled, but I just feel, I've run out of strength for it all, and I'm just fed up.
I want one of those long life lightbulbs. So come on, tell me how you lot keep it up.

By reading the inspiring diaries, by not being afraid to ask questions, checking all the boards for more ideas.

Coming on here almost every day helps me no end, joining in the daily chat or just reading it, be a lurker or a poster it doen't matter. We all get strength from each other on here, it IS hard work so much harder than it was spending it and this time of year when there is so much pressure to spend and everyone seems to have money is partcularly hard.
Have you used the snowball site? That is quite a motivator, I use a whiteboard to track my weekly spending and constantly update OH whether he wants to hear it or not!Debtfree JUNE 2008 - Thank you MSE:T0 -
I have found this thread to be the most inspirational

It makes me feel guilty if I spend money on crap and stuff I don't need. I also keep a spreadsheet with all my finances on it and a running total so I can see the amounts coming down. Its pretty basic but it seems to do the trick.Debt Free Since May 2015:beer:0 -
This site and the people on it provide the power to my lightbulb.

Thanks. I suppose it could be the festive gushing, that's dragging me down.
I did try the snowball thing, back when the bulb was shining brightly, but I couldn't work it out with all the interest, but then everything was such a mess. I might try that again.
Lf- thanks for that thread, I have read it, and I've been there too. When I was told I would have to go into hospital, when I was expecting no1, we were both quite pleased, at least one of us would get fed. We lived off frozen chips, free 'cos mil worked in a chip factory, and porridge for most of that pregnancy:rotfl:, no wonder I'm fat. I'm not buying stuff, I've even stopped wanting anything, so that's good. It's just that I seem to have reached a plateau, and can't seem to kick start again. I did try the weekly challenge again, and I did stick to it the first week, but then when lapsed the following weak, I just felt like such a loser.Official DFW Nerd Club - Member # 593 - Proud To Be Dealing With My Debts!0
