Hello, I am just about to apply for a mortgage and I wondered if anyone has any experience of the current timescales please? Thinking of going with Santander.
I was going to pay for a separate survey report as they only do a valuation.
Thanks in advance.

Hi, Can't comment on Santander, but avoid Platform (broker bit of Coop) like the plague. They say 30 days but I'm on working day 53 and this isn't unusual.
Friend of mine just had her mortgage offer back in 6 working days with Natwest, so there are some very quick ones out there. Might be worth asking a broker.2025 52 Week Saving Challenge #15 18/52

Santander underwriting queue stretches back to 24 September so an application going to underwriters today is going to be in a queue for four weeks.I am a mortgage broker.
