Mortgage calculators saying not able lend at this time?!

We got AIPs last week from Lloyds and Halifax. I’ve just gone into the calculators on their websites to pay around with sole different figures (so not the AIP bit but the generic calculator where you don’t put in any personal details, just income and deposit amounts etc)
anyway they are coming back saying unable to to lend to you at this time. It wasn’t saying this last week.

Just wondering if this means they are withdrawing lending now or not to first time buyers or what? Anyone know anything?

I’ve gone back into the Lloyds one and played around about and it seems to be because we have 3 kids. I put in our details and 2 kids and it came up with an amount but putting 3 kids and even £1million income results in an ‘unable to lend’ answer!!Unfortunately the kids is the one part of the calculation we can’t change!!0
