Getting the FCA involved - how?

Hi Forum,
Does anyone know how to get the FCA involved and scrutinising a bank's practices when you feel they are guilty of impropriety, given that unlike the Ombudsman they don't take direct complaints from the public?
Would personnel at the FCA just ignore you if you wrote to them directly cataloguing the bank's wrong doing?
Many Thanks

You don't get FCA involved. That is not their remit.

I am an Independent Financial Adviser (IFA). The comments I make are just my opinion and are for discussion purposes only. They are not financial advice and you should not treat them as such. If you feel an area discussed may be relevant to you, then please seek advice from an Independent Financial Adviser local to you.0 -
Lenders are highly regulated. What's the basis of your complaint?0

I think it depends on the problem. I agree with dunstonh that it's most likely the FCA would just tell you to approach the bank's complaints department. Or the FCA might say "not our remit". But anybody can provide information to the FCA; it just won't provide any information back - see https://www.fca.org.uk/consumers/unfair-contracts as an example.

I have recently been asked by FCA to submit evidence and also asked to give name financial advisor. They checked the register and advised I pursue the company on the issue of financial misconduct interference....If they have evidence of breaches to regulations they may take action. If an individual has been a victim of financial misconduct they can support / compensate through victims of crime. However it was explained they won’t share information with third party. It’s on their web site.0
