Checked back in on my Prudential plan after noting a £4K drop in value in April 2020 to see a net £15,5k reversal in 6 months.
im invested in the Prudential dynamic growth lV and lll funds respectively. To be honest I didn’t expect to see the level of bounce but it’s a welcome bit of good news as I’m in the consolidation stage (age 54) of my “flight path” to semi retirement, reducing work hours and stress.
Amyone else had some pleasing pension growth news in these times of job uncertainty, low interest rate levels etc?

I haven't but wanted to say congrats (whilst cursing under my breath) lol
Need some good news in these crap times 💚Just my opinion, no offence 🐈1 -
Most pension/investment funds are approx. back where they were on January 1st .
Those with a high US /tech company % have done the best and those with a high UK % the worst ( as a very simple generalisation )

I have pots in two places, both are up over a year;L9XSS said:Amyone else had some pleasing pension growth news in these times of job uncertainty, low interest rate levels etc?
HL 1 mon +3.7%, 6 mon +23.0%, 1 year +4.0%
SL 1 mon +6.0%, 6 mon +29.6%, 1 year +16.6%
Almost everything is up over the year and the SL one has five times as much money in it as HL.
At SL worst performer is Merian UK Mid Cap, at +0.1% for the year, which is a deliberate post-brexit recovery play. UK mid cap is very sensitive to the domestic UK economy. Top three over a year make up 45% of this pot: Stan Life ASI Global Smaller Companies +29.7%, Stan Life JPM Emerging Markets Equity +25.0% and Stan Life Fidelity Asia +24.0%.
It's been a good if worrying at times year. Investments have grown by roughly twice my spending.1 -
Perhaps a lot of investing in companies/peeps who make the masks and medical equipment for Covid have boosted things! 😸Just my opinion, no offence 🐈1
