Hey so my partner and myself were due to be married 20/8/20, but due to coronavirus we had to postpone until May 2021. We've been discussing this and are deciding to just go ahead with the ceremony at the church, and forget the venue for the reception. I have contacted them with regards to cancelling, and they have said about moving dates again, which were not really wanting to do anymore, just with all this uncertainty. We have paid 2200 and they have said we would only get 700 back? So we loss 1500 I find this a little disheartening, because if I pay anymore I'm gonna be losing even more. Anyone have any suggestions? Or advice? I know we'll loose money but wasn't expecting that amount.

Hey, so that's a good result. If you cancel, you wouldn't normally get any anything back, so you're gonna be quids in.

Nope, the agreed to the move to May21 for Covid reasons. Now they want to cancel it so not really Covid related. They just don't want a reception.0
