Mortgage Start Date

100 Posts First Anniversary Name Dropper

Received offer the other day, in the pack the mortgage has an assumed start date of 1st December. 
I'm hoping to exchange and complete by the end of October or first week of November, if everything else is in order, which I think it is.
Can the Mortgage start before December?

    Yes. It's just an example.
    The mortgage starts when your conveyancer draws down the funds and legal completion takes place.

    Yes, searches are all done, there is no chain, and I'm pretty sure by talking to my estate agent the enquiries are virtually done and I'm waiting to be sent the final report now I have Mortgage offer. Solicitor is on holiday this week so won't hear anything until next week!
