PC vs console

Is it possible to get a gaming PC capable of playing GTAV and RDR2 for circa £200? Or am I better off buying a PS4 or XBox for that price? Thanks

Not a chance for that price, you would need to spend at least £600 to play those games and it wouldn't be ideal. PC gaming is for people that are happy to pay the extra money because they want a larger range of games and/or like to mod games or have other uses for the PC. If your on a tight budget then a console will always be the sensible option.

The great thing about PCs is that you can just buy the parts that you need. So if you already have a case with a suitable power supply, monitor, keyboard and mouse you just buy a motherboard, CPU & fan, RAM and video card. £200 still not enough for gaming. All our family have PCs just for general use. It's amazing how little you spend when you just replace items you need rather than binning the whole lot and buying a brand new PC.

No, aim for around £1000 discounting monitor/keyboard/mouse/headset/speakers (ie just the base unit) and you will be in the right area.

Also not the games are pretty much unplayable on the basic xbox and ps4, need the one X or pro (or the upcoming next gen, the series s xbox should be around the old one X price and better). Or course other people view on that may vary (but they also think the games are playable without a keyboard and mouse ;-) ).
