Job application question wording regarding bankruptcy

Options
I declared myself bankrupt in 2015 (discharged 2016). I did this at my local county court in person. I'm in the process of applying for a new job. One of the questions on the application form is:
"Have you had a judgement entered against you in the High Courts in the last 6 years?"

I thought the obvious answer would be "no" as I petitioned for bankruptcy at my local county court, but just incase I've got this wrong I thought I'd ask on here. Should I answer "yes" to this? The only reason I'm asking is I thought that ALL county courts came under the jurisdiction of the High Court so technically it was a High Court judgement? I suspect I'm wrong in that though.

Thanks.

  • It is very strange wording, I would be inclined to answer "no".

I agree, I'm also heavily leaning towards "no". Wasn't sure if anybody had a clearer understanding, but it does just seem to be a strangely worded question. Thanks.
  • Looks to be a very poor wording surrounding County Court Judgements, which can be enforced by the High Court for an additional fee (bailiffs etc)
