Mortgage offer drama: misspelled middle name

Options
Newbie here!
I’m in the process of buying my first property and had contract, transfer of deeds & mortgage deed to sign. We’ve realised one of my middle names shouldn’t have an extra ‘n’ on the end. My broker is trying to sort this out and has advised They would do another credit check etc but this could result it a decline. She made the change and it did decline due to something that had already showed on my credit file. Basically a year ago my daughter ran up her phone bill and as I was just made redundant I contacted the provider and asked for options other than paying in full. They offered to a payment plan in instalments over 4-6 months. Following the call I decided to pay it off when the payment came due. Unfortunately they still registered this as an agreed payment schedule which I didn’t realise until now. I’ve had to document this explanation and send to my broker who will challenge this.
Obviously I’m in a panic but trying to stay positive.. my credit score is still good-excellent and I’ve lived at my current address for 17 years so I would hope the probability of this falling apart would be slim. Does anyone have advice or words of wisdom?? Thanks in advance.

There are other lenders. If this lender does not back down, I am sure there will be a Plan B and C, D, E and F. You shoudl see some of the adverse we see. A one off payment plan from 12 months ago should be fine.
