Santander Survey Refused as there was Annex in the property .

Hi ,
I'am a first time buyer , I've applied through a broker for Santander Mortgage , my deposit is 30 % ,  the property I selected  is a three bed  terraced house and had Annex  with Kitchen and cooker , bank refused in  the survey saying there is evidence that the Annex is currently on rent which is not the case .
so my question is if I remove  Kitchen cooker and bed  from the Annex can I re apply for a survey again , the broker saying  the chances are very less for the bank to do a second survey again and even if they do a survey again it's very unlikely the bank will give the mortgage ..
any advice from the group will be much appreciated .

If a surveyor believes the annexe is lettable, eg having its own entrance, the property is unlikely to be acceptable security to a mainstream lender.
