Barclays time to offer

Evening all,
My house is being purchased by two people requesting a mortgage From Barclays. Already the process has taken 2 months and nothing yet. Not even a valuation survey (although they may use desktop valuation).

Buyers are, let's say, a bit traditional. They went straight with the bank with no intermediary. They just sit there waiting, no drive whatsoever to ask for updates or push for faster completion.

Funny enough, I don't see much Barclays activity on this forum. I wonder why that is, being one of the largest high street banks.

Can anybody share timelines and experience? What could I advise my buyer? Any specific action to take, questions to ask or otherwise to help understand exactly where they are?

Thank you
