Neevo - positive/negative experiences?

I've been doing some 'AI' work via Neevo / DefinedCrowd for a few months now after seeing an ad on Facebook (I don't usually respond to these, but Neevo seemed legit!)

Although I've earned over £200 / enough for a short staycation by completing so-called 'microtasks' ranging from validating audio recordings (think customer service-style banking voice prompts) to transcribing audio, my experience has been somewhat mixed.

They operate a quality control scheme, which means that if your work doesn't meet a fairly abstract standard of work then there's every possibility you won't be paid for all the tasks you've completed. The guidelines can be vague, depending on the job, and Neevo customer service agents are often slow to respond - sometimes taking up to a week, by which time available tasks have disappeared.

Payment is also in US dollars - which fluctuates wildly against the pound, depending on what Donald Trump decides to do...:D - and can be as little as $0.02/task. Paypal also offers a worse exchange rate by default.

I've found the image collection tasks intrusive (pretty sure that a model release form is required for submitting photos of people and faces?), and the job availability sporadic. That said, it's been refreshing to do this sort of work from home, without tangible deadlines, in a field that's only bound to get bigger and bigger as voice assistants/AI become part of our everyday lives.

Has anyone else tried working with Neevo - how have you found it, and is it worth continuing with them?
