Getting mortgage with a Fixed Term job

I hope someone can help. I have been offered a job which is fixed term for 2 years, however I will be looking to buying my first home in the next 6 months - 1 year. Is the fact that the job is fixed term going to be a hindrance to me getting a mortgage?
I would appreciate if anyone can shed some light on this, many thanks.

You can get a mortgage if you have been employed by 6 month continuous with some lenders like Leeds and some require 12 months like the big 5 banks1
