Civil servant jobs

Good morning,
I am currently interested in applying for Civil Servants jobs and it came as a surprise to see that there is so much more to it than just having a relevant experience so I went on searching about the application process and there are literally websites to help you out with your application and through the assessments. One of these websites I found is called interviewgold and they charge approximately £60 to help you out with the application process. Has anyone tried it or I am wasting my time and money as there might be different ways to prepare myself properly before taking this path?

Read the success profiles document available online and look into the star technique. That will be more beneficial than paying someone.1

I'd leave that as the last resort. There are literally dozens of sites, hundreds even, offering careers advice. Remember even if you haven't been to University you can usually access the Careers sections of a University's website. Most Government;Departments are pretty good at explaining their recruitment procedure as well.2
