Free Cinema Tickets - Discussion thread

Hi Beate,
I was invited by Orange to apply for tickets so I applied for tickets via my mobile and received a text message stating it was a ticket, and to check the terms on Orange's website, which I did.
The terms are this:-
Tickets are subject to availability and allocation is on a first come first serve basis. There is no cash alternative. No Late admittance allowed. Strictly no recording. Available to Orange customers only. Each text ticket redeems 2 tickets at the cinema. At participating Odeons only.
Silly me - having been sent what Orange called a ticket, I presumed I had a ticket.According to the cinema, it appeared I had the chance to queue up for a ticket:rolleyes: . I guess they sent out more tickets than seats.
Anyway, I have sent a strongly worded e-mail as I felt it was very misleading.0 -

I agree - that is really bad and should never have happened. Poor you, I would be emailing as well if I was you! Have you tried any of the codes for Juno to see if tickets to any of the other previews are still available?Reclaimed thanks to this site:

The ones I remember being advertised for Sunday mornings are Arctic Tale and Penelope. The Artic Tale tickets are probably gone by now and for Penelope you need to live in Birmingham, Edinburgh or Sheffield. Also, the Film Factory are giving away a few tickets for The Game Plan, check the tickets thread, page 2.Reclaimed thanks to this site:

Hi guys just a quick question - What time would you recommend getting to the cinema for a 7pm free showing of Juno tonight? I know there are no more left for the cinema I booked at, I just wondered if it will be mega busy from those who have been to these freebies before.
Thanks alot0 -

If it's a See Film First screening, being there by 6pm is usually plenty early. I am going to see it at the O2 tonight.Reclaimed thanks to this site:
