I really liked The Waiting Room, a lovely story well told and well acted. 9/10 :)

it was kind of sad/spooky seeing Heath Ledger in The Dark night trailer. :(
  • i loved the movie, my friend and i enjoyed trying to work out where we in the future, the past or what order the days where in lol. However nothing going on before our showing - and more than half the audience left after the preview clips as they clearly thought they where mixed up and there was no movie - 15 min interval and nobody said btw, this is a break there is a movie :( loved the fridge magnets in my goody bag - looking fwd to a play with them later haha

Also if anyone in Liverpool wants to see Son of Rambow on Sunday at 11am i have a spare set of tickets as i cant use them - will pm the link to the first person to want them :)

were you at the liverpool one? I think someone over on FMUK did leave at the interval!
we were shown a program of events for the night as we handed over the tickets, so at least we knew there was an interval.

And I spent 4 hours of my life on this. Trailers, behind the scenes, movie clips, a bit of smalltalk with directors, more trailers... It started 15 minutes late and overran by another 15, so we were finally out shortly before 11pm. The goody bag had water, popcorn, some weird fruity fizzy drink, a keyring, some flyers and fridge magnets. Oh and a pen. There was hardly any legroom and the Odeon Leicester Square was packed to the rafters, in fact, they had some seats double-booked, which we found out when one ushers wanted our tickets all of a sudden, rushed off with them "to check a double-booking issue" and was never seen again. Thankfully I had managed to tear the label off the back for getting our mobile phones back! And we didn't even get to see The Waiting Room. We got a few actors from the film though standing about dumbly on stage for a couple of minutes. We got Guillermo de Toro and the director from the Narnia film who threw a few t-shirts into the audience and his side-kick who told a story about a tick on his a*se. He probably thought it was funny.

5/10. Really can't give it more. Never knew how many crap films exist out there. The only film it made me want to see which I didn't know before was Wall.E, about the robot with feelings, which was really cute.

to be honest if i had paid to go see i would have been extremely dissapointed .

almost half the cinema left before the waiting room and i seriously wished i had.

    It was dreadful.

some good movies still to come thought shall look forward to them

IT’S HARD TO BELIEVE NOW, BUT IN THE EARLY 1900s, nice ladies had to hide their rouge pots and powder puffs from their fathers and husbands. Make-up was a guilty pleasure. But, when the ’20s hit, fashion empowered young women and enabled them to have more freedom.
Movie stars like Theda Bara and Clara Bow gave them carte blanche to really go for it with cosmetics. Paper-white skin, heavily shadowed eyes and, of course, those iconic red lips became must-haves. With the release of new romantic comedy Leatherheads on 11 April starring George Clooney and Renee Zellweger, the retro starlet look is going to be hot this season. Get the 1920’s chic look using NIVEA® Lip Care.
It leaves your lips in perfect condition, wonderfully moisturised and super soft. In tribute to the launch of Leatherheads, NIVEA Lip Care is offering you the chance to mingle with the stars at the London premiere of Leatherheads. One lucky reader and a friend will enjoy a swanky dinner at a Brian Turner restaurant, entrance to the star-studded film screening, plus a night at the Millennium Mayfair Hotel.
Leatherheads is in cinemas from April 11.

    Hi everyone,

I went to the Guildford Red Carpet last night. It seems like I had a similar experience to you guys.

There was absolutely nothing going on in the foyer before the event. They surrendered my mobile, which I was fine with but then "The real hustle" came to mind and I got a bit paranoid that I wouldn't get it back - but I did :)

The trailers were good, but thats all they were, trailers. I was disappointed with the dark knight trailer as its the same as what you can get online. I think I'm going to struggle with the film as I well up everytime I see Heath Ledger. The Indy one was great though. I thought there are lots of good films coming out this year. I'm looking forward to Ironman, the one with angelina jolie, the one with Keanu Reeves (drool).

Do these big movies sometimes come up for grabs on seefilmfirst?

The Waiting Room to me felt like one of those long one off dramas you get on bbc or ITV. I didn't think it was worthy of a cinema. But the acting was good, it was just not my sort of film I guess.

The goody bag was pants. We got a pen, a sky movies keyring, the fridge magnets are ok, but I don't have a fridge like that to stick them on, and a sky movies poster.

I thought it was an OK freebie night out on my own (hubby was working late). But I would have been hugely disappointed if I paid £10 for it.

Oh, and after the trailers a similar thing happened...people started leaving. Then a member of staff came in to say there was a film afterwards and we could stay if we wanted to. It was a bit of a shambles really :) Oh well :)
