  • Hi Guys,

Just back from TOBG. Pleasantly surprised as I've not always been impressed with Portman but she did a good job in this film - Bana gave a good performance as well. At times, the film seemed to need a kick up the backside to get going and then at others seemed to jump forward but on the whole a pleasure to watch - if not always factually correct.

Discussed with Mum and Daughter and we all gave a different score so have settled for the average of 7 out of 10.

I upped my score to 8/10 again after seeing TOBG a second time tonight at Cineworld West India Quay. The screening was super full, they had to turn people away in the end! Thank God, I was getting fed up of latecomers wandering up and down the aisle searching for any lonely seats.

I've just got back from seeing TOBG, I must say I was very impressed as was hubby.
This was at Cineworld Fulham, I haven't been in there for a good few years, it hasn't improved much and the seats were very uncomfortable.

    Rating 8/10 for me

The Other Boleyn Girl, liked it very much (thanks Phatz!) - 8/10, although it did seem to drag in places. Felt quite long.

West India Quay was so packed! I've never been to a free preview as full as that, not a seat to be had. Those late comers were distracting me, but I did feel sorry for them sitting on the steps, then they got told to move and sit at the front - so there were seats at the right at the front. If I walked in so late I would have just sat down quickly. Cineworld should have used a bigger screen.

I have a question about that sunday times portal thing. When it does all go live and you get tickets, are they emailed or sent to you by post?
I've just registered and it wouldn't accept me putting my flat number in the address bit so I've only got the street number for the whole apartment building on there.

I know! They have much bigger screens than the one they used! I was quite distracted by all this kerfuffle about where the latecomers should sit, to be honest, if you haven't enough seats for people, don't let them in. I still have that sneaky feeling you could actually book tickets the normal way for this screening too. Otherwise, why on earth would that one have been so full, the one on Monday at Odeon Greenwich wasn't by far that full!

I have no idea as I have never "booked" tickets there before but I will see on Sunday I guess!

I saw 'Once' last year, a pretty good film. A different feel to it than 'hollywood' films, the music is great and in some ways it feels like an extended music video. :)
