You put your member number in your signature and a running total of your films this year. I will check what number we are at in a minute - or does anyone know offhand?

  • Every one and can't find anything. Haven;t found any for The Cottage though.
  • Is Juno not the best film this year so far!!! My daughter (aged 13) absolutely loved it!!!

In a word, I'd say no. IMO There Will Be Blood followed by No Country, then Juno in a respectable 3rd. It is definitely a fabulous film, its almost guaranteed to win Best Original Screenplay in a few days' time, and it'll take some beating for best comedy of the year.

Does anyone here not want Ellen Page to win Best Actress at the Oscars? If not, who would you say, out of
    Cate Blanchett

    Elizabeth: The Golden Age
    Julie Christie
    Away from Her
    Marion Cotillard
    La Vie En Rose
    Laura Linney
    The Savages

Now I haven't seen any of them, so perhaps I'm being unfair but wouldn't it be wonderful to see Page beat them?

But sometimes they don't make sense

Well I love Cate Blanchett but she already has accolades, doesn't she? Have only seen the Elizabeth film, so can't really comment. Best preview this year has been The Lives of Others for me, but Dan in Real Life and Sweeney Todd also rank pretty high in my book.
