I also agree with Beate on the point, why post codes more than once? do people have a problem and don't know how to look for a code if its actually there already? who knows, also people talk in the code thread, which it clearly says not to, thats the reason we have this thread for. But hope i don't offend anyone, i don't mean to sometimes i just have a strong opinion, and just get annoyed with people that cant follow rules :D

That's why I asked the OH to check it out, as I had never heard of it before! It says "Starlight Cinema" in the blurb, but the OH says it's just a big function room which they seem to turn into a cinema for the occasion. It's in East Wintergarden, basically, alight at Heron Quays DLR station and turn right around the corner (or to the left if you come up from Canary Wharf tube station). I think I might give it a miss too. By the looks of it I have a week without any previews before me. :(

It's good that the codes thread has been trimmed down by weeding out past film screenings, thereby reducing the thread to 3 pages. I think that you could be more radical though and delete duplicate postings as well. The Spiderwick Chronicles code has been posted FOUR times. The Edge of Heaven has been posted twice, and all the tickets have now been allocated by Time Out. Then we have those postings saying that a previously posted code is working again, and then the posts saying "no chat just tickets please". None of that is really necessary if you are just trying to find which codes for which films are available, surely?

Have to say I agree Beate with the exception of the last couple of days where the search has been down its quite easy to check if a code is already there. I had the time out mailing had a quick look on the board it was already there so I didn't post it, seems obvious really. I would say if you discover a code is working again then perhaps quote it in a new post. Its all the thanks for this code stuff and does anyone know if this screen in outer mongolia will have tickets....That does my nut in!If your area cinema is listed it has tickets if not it doesn't.

Yea, would of made more sense to have it at, Heron Quays Cineworld.

Sorry but disagree about "working codes" (agree with Beate) since you're likely to get several posts a day about them, especially if there are 4 or 5 codes EACH for 4 or 5 films yet to be screened. If just ONE individual is successful in finding a single cinema on each code for a each film posts "it's working again" you'd end up with 20+ posts a day.

As I said a week ago.

But nobody needs reminding if they've read and understood posts #1 & #2

    As posted
"When a seefilmfirst showing runs out of tickets, they often add more later so it's worth keeping trying."

and as I say "This means later the same day, the following day, the following week/month and all times in between !"

Is there any point me making a post a week after a code has been listed on the thread to say that I've just tried it and got 2 tickets.
Unless you ALSO want tickets for Derby then it's meaningless if you live in Sheffield, London, Glasgow etc. etc. etc.
I DON'T KNOW that any place OTHER THAN Derby "works" and has any tickets left. Indeed I don't even know that about Derby for the next person, I may just have taken the last 2.
Then again 2 hours/2 days/2weeks later, AFTER my success, there may be some more tickets available at every other cinema EXCEPT Derby.

That makes "a code is working again" reminder all but pointless.

If I try a code (AND it includes a local cinema) BUT they have "all gone", I jot the SFF code on a Post-It note (usually with film name and screening date) and stick it to the edge of my screen.
This reminds me to try, try and try again until I either get a ticket or the screening has come and gone.
I've got tickets on the afternoon of a screening - just 3 or 4 hours before I've been sitting in my cinema seat and the lights are being dimmed.

Sometimes my Post-It note has 6 or 7 codes for 3 or 4 different films as new codes/previews are added.
Seems the best way to jog your memory that you're still in with a chance if only you check AGAIN and it actually reminds you to do so every time you sit in front of your PC.
Works EXCEPTIONALLY WELL for ME, whereas I have NEVER been successful if I've responded to someone elses "the code nnnnnn is working again". Just because they got a ticket, NO IT ISN'T !!!
