I have been selling down my ISA investments in order to supplement my reduced income due to maximising SS.

Each year I sell approximately 12 months worth of net contributions and use that to replace lost salary income due to pension contributions.

Part of the logic/benefit for me is that the majority of this 'additional' pension will be drawn before any DB or SP kicks in so will be claimed by paying very little in tax.
