Free Postal Entries

Free entry is available to UK residents, over the age of 18, by postal application.

Postal entries should be submitted on an individual postcard (not in an envelope), by first class post, to: Win A Dream Property, Capel Jerusalem, Llanegryn Street, Abergynolwyn, Gwynedd LL36 9YE. You must include your name, address, email address, telephone number and date of birth. You should also confirm that you have read and accepted the Terms & Conditions and give the correct answer to the multiple choice question. Simply click on ‘Enter Now’ and select ‘Buy Now’ to view the question.

Only completed entries received before the closing date will be entered into the main prize draw. Once we’ve processed your entry, we’ll send your ticket via email. We aim to do this within 7 days of receiving your postcard.

Terms & Conditions

1. Introduction

1. These Terms and Conditions prevail in the event of any conflict or inconsistency with any other communications, including advertising or promotional materials. Entry and claim instructions are deemed to form part of the Terms and Conditions and by participating, all entrants will be deemed to have accepted and be bound by the Terms and Conditions. Please retain a copy for your information.

4. The promotion is open to all persons, aged 18 or over. This excludes the promoters, their immediate family (siblings, parents and children), employees, agents, professional advisers or anyone else connected with the development, administration or operation of the website and/or database.
5. As a condition of entering the prize draw, all entrants confirm that they are not breaching any laws in their country of residence, regarding the legality of entering the prize draw and ownership of UK property. The promoters will not be held responsible for any entrant entering the competition unlawfully. If in doubt, entrants should check with the relevant authorities in their country of residence.
6. The promotion will run from 12.00 (GMT) on 24th August 2020, until 12.00 (GMT) on 11th December 2020.

2. Prize Draw Entries

1. To enter visit www.winadreamproperty.co.uk to purchase tickets. Entrants will be required to submit their name, address, email address and telephone number and confirm that they are over 18 years of age. Entrants must use their own skill and judgement to give the correct answer to a multiple choice question, in order to enter the main prize draw. Each entrant acknowledges that in answering the question they are demonstrating the application of skill, judgement or knowledge in determining the correct answer.
2. Ticket payments can only be made in £GBP and English is the only language in which an entrant may submit their entry.
3. If an entrant purchases 3 full price tickets in one transaction they can buy a 4th ticket for £1 (4 tickets for £10). There is no limit to the number of tickets an individual can purchase.
4. Financial transactions are processed by Stripe.com. Their Terms and Conditions can be viewed at www.stripe.com/gb/privacy.
5. Invalid or late entries will not be accepted. The promoter takes no responsibility for entries delayed, incomplete or lost due to technical reasons or otherwise.
6. Free entry is available to UK residents, by postal application. 7. Postal entries must include the answer to the question (as displayed on the website), along with the entrants name, address, date of birth, email address and telephone number, plus confirmation that the entrant has read and accepted these Terms and Conditions.
8. Entrants must ensure that all postal entries are dispatched at least 3 days prior to the closing date to ensure processing and entry. The promoters cannot accept responsibility for post delays or entries lost or damaged in the post. Proof of sending will not be accepted as proof of delivery.
9. Only correctly completed entries, received before the closing date, will be entered into the main prize draw.
10. All postal entries received will be input to the main prize draw database and ticket numbers will be emailed to the entrants within 7 days of receipt of the postcard.
11. Entrants are solely and completely responsible for submitting information that is legible, complete, current and true. Entrants who do not give correct details or those who make an entry on someone else’s behalf will be disqualified, at the promoters’ discretion.
12. Anyone who has any queries regarding missing tickets (paid for or free) must email the promoter at admin@winadreamproperty.co.uk so that replacements can be issued if necessary. Such queries will not be handled after the closing date.
13. Participants may enter both paid for and free entries.
14. The promoters will not accept liability for any failure or inability to make contact with any entrant as the result of omissions or inaccuracies in the contact details provided by the entrant or otherwise.
15. Entrants recognise that the promoters may disclose entrants’ details to relevant third parties for the purposes of prevention of fraud, money laundering, legal or other financial regulatory reasons.
16. Entrants acknowledge that entering the prize draw does not guarantee in any way that they will win the prize.
17. All entries to the prize draw are final and no refunds will be made.

3. The Prize

1. The winner of the main prize will receive the title deed ownership of Capel Jerusalem and Jerusalem Vestry, Llanegryn Street, Abergynolwyn, Gwynedd, LL36 9YE.
2. The whole property, consisting of two houses, has been independently valued at £685,000 and also has the opportunity of generating a rental income. In addition, the prize includes the cost of the winner’s conveyancing fees (up to £1,500), Land Transfer Tax (up to £51.875 for second home tax), furniture in both houses and all the contents of the chapel required to continue operating it as a holiday let. The prize will be transferred to the winner free of all mortgages, charges and encumbrances.
3. The promoters will not be liable for any taxes, fees or payments outside the UK, which the winner may be liable for.
4. Entrants should rely on their own enquiries and legal advice about the prize before entering the prize draw.
5. The property will be vacant upon possession.
6. A minimum of 330,000 ticket sales is required to achieve the target figure and for the property transfer to take place.
7. After transaction fees, the target ticket sales will generate £909, 810, which will then be subject to marketing, website and legal costs, Land Transfer Tax, three referral prizes and a donation to 4 of £100,000. This leaves £722,267 for the property and contents.
8. If the target figure is not achieved, a cash prize will be offered instead. The amount will be subject to payment processing fees and costs of approximately £34,168, which includes legal, website and marketing costs and the three referral prizes. Of the remainder, the winner will receive 70%, Alzheimer's Society will receive 10% and the promoters will retain 20%. No refunds will be issued.
9. Once the target figure has been achieved, over and above the £100,000 donation, the promoters will donate 20% of additional ticket receipts to Alzheimer's Society. There is no upper limit to the charitable donation.

4. The Main Prize Draw

1. The main prize draw will take place 7 days after the closing date, on 18th December 2020, at Capel Jerusalem. The winner will be selected at random from the database, using Random.org. Invited guests will include an independent representative from the legal profession (who will oversee the process, make the draw and confirm the winner’s name), a representative from the charity, M3 technical support team and members of the press. The prize draw will be filmed.
2. The winner will be contacted by telephone call on the day of the prize draw. If there is no response, the winner will be notified by email and post, using the contact details supplied on their entry. If the winner does not respond within 21 days of the draw, or is ineligible, the promoters shall be entitled to select another winning entry using Random.org. The process will repeat until an eligible winner is able to claim the prize. Entrants are encouraged to monitor their connections during this time in case they are the winner.
3. The promoters reserve the right to verify all entries. The winner will be required to forward a copy of their valid ID (passport, ID card or driving licence), within 10 days, to prove their age and identity, to the satisfaction of the legal representative.
4. All reasonable efforts will be made to transfer the title deeds to the winner within 6 weeks of the prize draw date. If the process is delayed for any reason (for example, due to continued Covid-19 restrictions), the promoter will endeavour to update the winner in regards to the delivery of the prize.
5. A video of the prize draw will be uploaded to the website and Facebook pages and will be available for 30 days after the prize draw date.

5. Referrals

1. All entrants who purchase one or more tickets will be issued with a personal URL link. When this is shared and clicked on, to make a ticket purchase, the entrant who shared the link will automatically and instantly receive a free entry for the main prize draw. This free ticket will be sent by email.
2. There is no limit to the number of free entries in the main prize draw an entrant can be awarded for generating ticket sales through sharing their URL.
3. An entrant, whose URL generates ticket sales, will also be given an automatic entry into one of the referral prize draws. There is no limit to the number of free referral tickets an entrant can be awarded. Entrants who successfully share their link every month, will be given entries into all of the monthly prize draws.
4. There will be three referral prize draws. The first one will take place at 12.00hr (GMT) on 30th September 2020, for all entries generated by sharing/referrals up to this date. After this draw, new referrers will be entered into a new draw from 1st October and the second referral prize draw will take place at 12.00hr (GMT) on 31st October 2020. A third draw will run from 1st November, with the final prize draw taking place at 12.00hr (GMT) on 30th November 2020, for all referrals generated during November.
5. The prize for each monthly prize draw will be £2,000.
6. For each referral prize draw, the prize winner will be selected at random, by an independent third party, using Random.org. The winner will be contacted by telephone call on the day of the prize draw and their name and county of residence will be displayed on the website and social media pages.
7. If there is no response, the winner will be notified by email and post, using the contact details supplied on their entry. If the winner does not respond within 21 days of the draw, or is ineligible, the promoters shall be entitled to select another winning entry using Random.org. 9. The prizes of £2,000 per monthly draw will be paid by bank transfer or banker’s draft, within 7 days of receiving proof of ID.

6. General

1. These Terms and Conditions do not create any form of contract, agreement or joint venture between the entrant and the promoters.
2. Any tax liability arising from the receipt of the prize will be the responsibility of the recipient.
3. This prize draw, its administration and all associated activities are governed by English and Welsh law. The promoters and entrants recognise that the County or High Courts of England and Wales shall have exclusive jurisdiction, in the event of any dispute arising from the prize draw or its administration.
4. The promoters decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into.
5. The surname and county of residence of the winner of the main prize draw and the winners of the referral prize draws will be displayed on the website and social media pages for three months after the close of the promotion. Entrants can object to disclosure, or request that disclosure be limited in scope, by contacting admin@winadreamproperty.co.uk. We may, nevertheless, disclose information to the Advertising Standards Authority if required to do so.
6. The promoters will ensure that all entries, paid for or free, are treated equally, provided all other conditions are met.
7. The promoters and their agents will not be liable for any damages or loss (economic or otherwise) sustained by any person as a result of any act or omission (perceived or actual) during the development, planning and administration of the prize draws, transferring the prizes to the winners and following the transfer of the prizes except for any liability which cannot be excluded by law (including personal injury, death and fraud) in which case the liability is limited to the minimum allowable by law.
8. The promoters do not accept responsibility for entries which are not received, due to failures in computer hardware or software, programming, server issues or internet malfunctions, such as issues arising from high internet traffic, or for any other reason.
9. The promoters do not accept any responsibility for any losses resulting from fraudulent third party activity, including imitation or duplication of the website or promotion social media pages.
10. If any of these clauses should be determined to be illegal, invalid or otherwise unenforceable then it shall be severed and deleted from these Terms and Conditions and the remaining clauses shall survive and remain in full force and effect.
11. The promoters reserve the right to refuse to award the prize or withdraw prize entitlement and/or refuse further participation in the promotion and disqualify the participant where there are reasonable grounds to believe that there has been a breach of the Terms and Conditions, the spirit of the promotion, any instructions forming part of this promotion’s entry requirements or otherwise where a participant has gained unfair advantage in participating or won using fraudulent means, including any hacking or interference with the proper functioning of the website, or the unauthorised use of any code that forms part of the website and associated systems. In such circumstances, no refunds will be given and the entrant shall be reported to the relevant authorities.
12. In the event of circumstances outside the reasonable control of the promoters, or otherwise where fraud, abuse and/or an error affects or could affect the proper operation of this promotion or the awarding of prizes, and only where circumstances make this unavoidable, the promoters reserve the right to cancel or amend these Terms and Conditions, at any stage, but will always endeavour to minimise the effects to participants in order to avoid undue disappointment. If the prize draw is cancelled the promoters will offer entrants the opportunity to either donate their entry fee/s to Alzheimer's Society or receive a refund of monies received by the promoter (after payment gateway costs). Where an entry fee is returned, the promoter shall have no further liability to the entrant or to any other person.
13. The promoter shall only use the personal details supplied for the administration of the promotion and for no other purpose, except with the entrants’ consent. Entrants acknowledge that the promoter may pass such information to its third party agency, solely for the purposes of administering the promotion. Personal details will be kept confidential at all times, in accordance with current Data Protection legislation. The promoters’ Privacy Policy is available to view here. Entrants can request access to their personal data or have any inaccuracies rectified, by sending an email to admin@winadreamproperty.co.uk. By participating in the prize draw, entrants agree to the use of their personal data as described here.

The closing date has been extended...

NEW CLOSING DATE: Sunday 14th February, Valentine’s Day  ❤

We’ve had a chat with our lovely friends at Alzheimer’s Society and we’ve decided to extend the closing date for entries, to 14th February 2021 and hold the Main Prize Draw on 1st March, which is St. David’s Day (the Patron Saint of Wales). There are several reasons for this.

 

Firstly, we might not have sold enough tickets by 11th December to give away Capel Jerusalem & Jerusalem Vestry as the prize. Since we launched the prize draw, 12 weeks ago, we’ve sold almost 100,000 tickets, which is fantastic (thank you!), but our target is 330,000 and we have no way of knowing how sales will go in the last few weeks. If we don’t reach the target, we have the option of giving a cash prize instead, but that was never our intention and we know a lot of people have been dreaming about living in this beautiful place.

 

Secondly, we are totally committed to raising as much money as possible for Alzheimer’s Society and we’re hoping to give them a HUGE donation, of £100,000 or even more. With the prolonged impact of the pandemic, it’s more important than ever, to do as much as we can to help.

 

Also, from a practical point of view, a prize draw is likely to be very difficult, if we are in another Lockdown. In order to comply with our T&C’s, we need to conduct the prize draw with our Technical Team, a Lawyer and a Charity Representative in attendance. Lockdown would also prevent the lucky winner from visiting their new home. Hopefully by March, there will be more freedom of movement.
