I would still include the job in the future as it shows you've been working, and I feel like all employers would understand people taking different jobs in the current climate. It doesn't negate your previous experience.

Maybe volunteer to help out at a food bank or similar, it would give you a focus, be something to put on a CV and give you some perspective - you are not alone.

I have posted in my diary.

Current unsecured debt stands at £10,879.38 and cash is at £6720.01.
  • OP judging by the figures your gambling I take it you have had a problem for some time with gambling? Was this the reason of your relationship break down?

This is a huge issue and you need to address it. Your not working now so get yourself to a local GA meeting and seek help.

Also if you have any relatives who you trust it may be wise giving them your savings and them sending you enough each month for your bills.

Your gambling is completely out of control and even if you get another job the probability is you will continue to gamble so any money you do earn with be worth nothing as you will gamble it all.

Go on to the bookies websites and permanently exclude yourself.  There are gambling tools on each site.
Paid off the last of my unsecured debts in 2016. Then saved up and bought a property. Current aim is to pay off my mortgage as early as possible. Currently over paying every month. Mortgage due to be paid off in 2036 hoping to get it paid off much earlier. Set up my own bespoke spreadsheet to manage my money.
