Getting Treatment Abroad & NHS Funding

HI, Hopefully someone on here can give me some direction on this.
My mum needs a hip replacement but has been told that its going to take up to 12 months maybe longer. The world is under pressure I get it and its a different ball game now. However I have also read in a few places that we could get her treatment done abroad and the NHS would fund (or refund) the treatment costs.
I am looking into this for her and researching it and as much as its not something that could happen right away anyway it would be good to have it as a potential option.
My question is does anyone know anything about NHS funding treatments like hip replacement abroad? What impact has/will Brexit have on this?
Thanks folks!

Just google 'surgery abroad NHS'.
First site on the list is the gov.uk website with all the info you need.
Much as I understand your mum's pain (I have 2 close friends who've had the op) I think you're mad to even contemplate going abroad in the midst of a pandemic. Just saying!I can't imagine a life without cheese. (Nigel Slater)3
