Non receipt of Prizes

Good Morning
What do I do when a company is not honouring the prize I have won?
I won the Sun Newspaper "Sportsquiz" competition on 1st August and I am still waiting for my prize money. I have had multiple communications with the Sun with various excuses including Covid and working from home. Apparently a cash prize needs to be signed off by two people from management. My prize was only signed off by one person and on my last communication on 17th September I was promised the second person would be chased up and I would receive my prize soon. I have emailed them again today and asked for interest to be added to my prize!

I have also been fortunate to win a prize with Mumsnet. I was informed on 28th July I had won and still no prize received. In my last communication on 3rd September I was told they were waiting for a "runner up" to respond. Normally companies only wait a few days or even weeks for a prize winner to respond or they forfeit their prize. Here I am, the main prize winner, still waiting two and a half months later.

It is disappointing when prizes fail to turn up.  Have you thought of posting on their social media accounts.  It might help.

I won a cd from Jazz apples in July loads of e mails they said when they had it they would send it, Why do they do a comp when they do not have the prize in their hands. It arrived Tuesday 6th October so well over the 4 weeks that they originally said. Would have thought that THE SUN wuld be a big enough company to send £50 good luck

I won xbox in August, didn't arrive  I sent e-mail in September, didn't get a reply , so I e-mailed again yesterday, they said they are posting it out by tomorrow, delayed by covid apparently,  I will keep you posted on when it arrives 😉

crazy the way everything is blamed on covid. The deliveries should still be sent out etc

We all have to live and cope with Covid now. It is a part of all our daily lives.

So far all my comp prizes have arrived but I must say none ever arrive promptly. There is always a delay but not months

I won one of the arrow word competitions with The Sun in September and it took 3 weeks for the money to arrive into my account. So a bit off that you still have'nt received yours.
