Tesco clubcard prices and home delivery
Just a little warning to check the dates of the clubcard offers when shopping for click and collect/home delivery. I'm used to the end screen that tells me that certain offers won't be available on my date of delivery and didn't realise that it doesn't do that for clubcard prices. Not the end of the world for me as it was only one item I would have bought anyway, but I figured if I can save someone else stress it's worth posting.

I've not seen that on the end screen but the end date of offers, including the Clubcard prices, are shown on the individual items, so that's another way to check.

Also remember to check your substituted items. Two weeks running we have had a Clubcard discounted item substituted. Tesco match the original (higher) price so it looks a deal but you need to remember the CC discount will not be at the end of the receipt. £3.00 last week and £1.50 tonight. Pain to call them up but not quibbled.1

Thanks swanny, I have been lucky to avoid subs of the clubcard deals thus far!
I've also noticed how few 'normal' offers are on at the moment - they're not fooling any regular shoppers with this, I'm well aware that the vast majority of the clubcard offers are offers they have on every other month anyway - just without all this extra faff and complicated receipts.0 -
For what it's worth, the substitute and not get the discounted price is still going on as of last night. I had a substitution of "Roast in Bag Rdy Basted Whole Chicken 1.5Kg" for "Roast in Bag Butter Basted Whole Chicked 1.5Kg".Seems like a fine substitute. However, I notice now that the butter-basted is clubcard price of £3.50, normally £5. The substitution doesn't give the clubcard price of £3.50, so I paid £5 for the substitute.0

Tescos 'Club card prices' are just ripping off both customers and the manufacturers. These are not new prices funded out of Tescos generosity - these are the offers that have previously been regularly available to all (and funded by the manufacturers). Every sale Tesco can make on these lines without giving the Clubcard discount is boosting their profits at the manufacturers expense.

How do the current in store promos work? If the regular price is £2.50 but £1 for clubcard members, does the £1.50 get put on the clubcard balance, or taken off the bill before paying at the tills? Why are they even doing it like this? Because of the pandemic, well the scheme is free anyway so what's the point?0

It's taken off as money at the checkout.1
