O/S Daily Tuesday 6th October  2020
This is an “over the garden fence” type thread where we chat about everything Old Style and maybe a little bit more. It’s a great, inspiring and motivating thread we start each day to discuss what Old Style things we’re going to do today or what we’ve achieved already. Everyone’s welcome, please do come in, put your feet up (although check the fence hasn’t just been painted first!) and join us for an Old Style natter. The more the merrier!
As this is the Old Style Board, it would be appreciated if posts could include some Old Style content. Please be aware that many people may have small screens, or SLOW internet connections, so please don’t post large pictures, or clip art – links are preferred. When you make a post, if you feel like giving it a title, that will help others that don’t have the time to read everything skim through the thread quickly but if not it's not a problem. Please do not start a new daily thread before you go to bed at night because this often leaves things confusing with two daily threads live at the same time. The idea is that a member would start each new daily thread after they get up in the morning

Morning all, now no one faint because I've started today off   I've had an awful night and been up since 2.30am. so I shall be hanging by lunchtime.

The washing didn't have chance to dry yesterday before it rained, so I put the heating on and dried it that way while warming the house, two birds- one stone. The Iceland delivery man was lovely and kept calling me babe, it's a long time since anyone called me that, think I pulled   I didn't mind one bit, but he was at least 30yrs my junior    I had to play tetris in the freezer as Mr Fix It wanted to help and just threw everything in leaving no room for the bread. I needed to sort out what he had put in and in which freezer, because he had no clue what was what ! Not much help in the end but his heart was in the right place.

Today will be a sloth day, but I can always play with Barbie if I feel up to it, that frill took ages to do as it was very small and fiddly. Tea tonight will be left over gammon and perhaps a cheese and potato pie.

Morning folks and thanks NAN and NMLC for the double start to the day!  I had a good sleep for a change and would have easily slept beyond 6.00 if Sparkle hadn't leapt on me telling me it was beyond my usual wake up time and she was ready for her breakfast!

The jobs I had half planned for yesterday didn't happen! It was such a lovely day with blue sky and sun that I decided it was too nice a day to spend indoors so I got the bus into town and then the bus  to the next little town along where I had a nice little wander about.  Today promises to be a damp one so the jobs are back on the agenda so may, or may not, get done today. I am doing too much wandering around the internet shops trying to get more Christmas gifts bought rather than do mundane jobs.

Just lost a post and am running late.

Mild, damp and dark at the moment but hoping for some sunshine later. Washing on the pulley and the DW has been emptied.

Morning everyone. 

NAN - hope you can catch up with your sleep later. 

My excitement today is having my gum stitches out later this afternoon. I'm not exactly looking forward to it though it'll be good to be free from them. Perhaps the surgeon will make a date for the second bone graft, now I know what to expect it's even more scary but needs doing.

Morning all

Bright and sunny here but rain due again after lunch, its my hospital appointment today so I will hopefully get some kind of idea what is happening, I am almost convinced that they will tell me I need the double mastectomy now with a reconstruction at some point in the future, I did not want this option but tbh I think this is not the best option for now I am really suffering with fatigue and cannot keep my eyes open in the afternoon and im getting a bit emotional because im so tired, so I think its time for the op as ths is not me at all, I cried yesterday afternoon as I was so tired but I feel guilty for not doing all the jobs that are needed  hopefully they will give me some news today.

The dw needs emptying this morning and the kitchen needs a quick clean anything else can wait, our pup has gone to my in laws for the day and dd's pup will go to my mums and hopefully my brother will walk her which will save us a job later on.

Its the filled pasta for dinner tonight (at last !!) so no effort there just a quick salad to make and shove some garlic bread in the oven.

Late night for me one of my friends called when I was already wrapped up in bed for an early night....2 hours later and it wasn't an early night anymore. He's gong for a hip op soon and needed lots of reassurance as blokes do! Bit shattered so today will be slower

Need to start to tackle the bedroom today never seen so much dust May also do a bit of cupboard clearing too I have way too many clothes and only wear a tiny proportion.

Ruby, I know it's frustrating but give in to your tiredness, the jobs will still be there when you are well but your health must come first.

In an effort to be a bit more productive myself I've been writing a to do list each morning, it does seem to be helping but it's early days, the key is to continue.  The endless rain seems to have stopped at last so I'll be able to go out for a walk. We have a parcel to pick up although neither of us know what it is and the sorting office closes at 10.00am now, I'll bet they never go back to the all day opening hours they had before lockdown. I have planned carbonara tonight but I might have a rummage in the freezer instead, we'll see.

Morning all, and it's a very grotty one here, very wet. Not even been out with pooch yet, not that she's bothered

RedRuby I hope you get something sorted today and you feel happier. You've had a lot to deal with this year so be kind to yourself and rest up.Hugs.

Had a nice chat with a friend I haven't seen since February, she was pleased I'd rung.

No other news.I shall be making a chicken curry for tea later, last night it was meat pie but I cheated it was from marks, nice though.
