Swiftsterling Redress Claim

I recently submitted a redress claim against Swiftsterling in relation to unaffordable lending.

Having not received a promised update by the 2nd of October I checked their online portal to find that information regarding my claim is no longer available to view and that their FAQs section is missing.

Has anyone else submitted a claim?

Does anyone have any up to date information regarding Swiftsterling claims?

You cannot lodge such claims in the UK against swift sterling as they were based in Malta at the time.
Some people have used the maltese complaints procedure, and been successful, but its a long drawn out affair, with no guarentee of success, and most claims just get ignored.
Swift Sterling, despite what it said on their website, were not FCA authorised, nor could you complain to the FOS about them.
More information is available on the "payday loans" section of the "Debt camel" website

A new company that is UK based and FCA authorised grew from the ashes of the old Swift sterling a couple of years ago, if your loan relates to that period, you may have more luck.

  • Thanks sourcrates,

The invitation to claim came from 'Swiftsterling' themselves via an email that included a link to the website I used when I applied for loans in the past. The claim was made via the Swiftsterling website.

Seems rather pointless of them given the information you've just supplied!?

Well I would like to think they have found religion, and wish to repent, if they instigated this themselves, but i would say its more to do with the fact MMP, the parent company, going into liquidation in Dec 2019.
You will just become one of their creditors, and get back virtually nothing unfortunately.
