CIS and part time work

I'm currently working in construction on a self employed basis and paid using the CIS scheme. Is it possible for me to work a regular PAYE job on evenings and weekends for a little extra income? Self assessments ask about income from other sources, can any extra income from a PAYE part time wage be declared on my SA or would the only option be changing back and getting a regular PAYE tax code.

You are correct, your PAYE earnings should be declared on your self assessment along with any tax you have paid through PAYE.0

Lots of people run their own business and have a PAYE job at the same time, nothing unusual at all.
You would likely get the standard tax code of 1250L and pay little or no tax on the part time wage.
You declare the taxable pay (and any tax deducted) from the job on your Self Assessment return and it forms part of your Self Assessment calculation.
