Eurocarparks penalty

I have received a penalty for not paying a car park charge. The machine was faulty so could not use it. I took a photograph and presented it on their appeals form. I have since lost my appeal as I was informed I could have paid by phone. I did not see the signs to do that. What should I do now.

Would you be able to post a picture of the machine ie the one you sent to them and the signage above it please.
I will then be able to guide you and give you a good idea if you have a solid case or not.

xThe type of machine will be irrelevant to whether they have a solid case or not.The OP has been directed to the correct place to raise this, where there are real experts.5 -

I often think often think outside the box and can understand why you did not think why I had posted that question.

Just because the picture doesn’t show something doesn’t mean it doesn’t exist.
There could be a 20 foot high sign just out of camera shot.
The OP said they didn't see a sign but I would bet there is something somewhere.
The initial appeal has been turned down anyway - any further help and advice needs to be much better informed and presented than you or I am able to achieve.
OP - please go to the other board or pepipoo0 -

I think you would be a huge asset to the Parking Forum
I'm sure they would appreciate your help and expertise5 -
I would have thought the answer is very obvious. Claim the photo you sent was obtained using a digital camera or camera attachement on a Sony PSP or equivalent and you did not have a phone with you. Ask them for a popla reference number and raise the case making this argument. They will probably know its likely BS but there will be no way they can prove you had a phone with you.The fact payment can be made via phone is neither here nor there if you didnt have a phone. As an additional FU to the parking company you could mention that the phone Eurocarparks mentioned in dismissing your appeal was missing from the sign.1
