Just a quick one I noticed that these guys are looking for investment. Just wondered if anyone was interested? Is it possible for anyone to invest or must you be local to Bristol?

I thought they were sold recently for peanuts by the City Council at a massive loss to tax payers, or is this a different Bristol Energy?

Received an email from the Ethex fundraising platform which contained an item on Bristol Energy Co-operative. Knowing there to be a thread running on here questioning their past I thought to copy a paragraph which may assist with clarification.

Also below is a link to the Ethex website in case of interest to members wishing to do good with their money!

Bristol Energy Co-operative (BEC) has been running numerous clean, community-owned energy generation projects around Bristol for 10 years, currently generating enough green energy to power 3,000 homes. It’s a highly successful model with projects including rooftop solar arrays, ground-mounted solar farms, community microgrids in new housing schemes and a planned community hydropower scheme. BEC’s project revenues also fund community initiatives. Over £250,000 has been channelled into community benefit payments so far, making a massive positive impact.
