Are you in a union - they may be a good starting point. All shall be well, and all shall be well, and all manner of things shall be well.
Pedant alert - it's could have, not could of.0 -
As a matter of interest what work do they want a teacher to do during half term? If there are no kids in what do they want you to do?0

Oh, why remove the content?1

Maybe because OP changed their mind about the information they posted, or realised they'd made a mistake and you can't delete a thread once you've started it - the forum team need to do that. All shall be well, and all shall be well, and all manner of things shall be well.

Hi, I panicked and deleted. My question is: my term time contract is for 43 weeks per year, with 32.4 days holiday paid, (which must be taken in the 9 weeks of am not contracted) including BH. I am now told to work a week when I would normally be on leave. My employer states that as the leave, ( by leave i mean weeks outside the 43) I have already had amounts to more than 32.4 days, I must work . I don't understand why. Can anyone explain it?0

Sounds baffling tbh. Are you in a union?0

Yes but despite being on the case for 4 weeks, I still had an email today confirming I must work. The union seems not too proactive.0

Were you furloughed?
with 9 weeks not working you will always have more then 32.4 days off why is this year different.
I would go back with the case that the time off is not relevant, it is the contracted weeks that need to be counted and add up to 43weeks
Which normal weeks are they saying you have not worked so need to do extra to make up?

Not furloughed. Worked from home teaching via Zoom. I simply can't get it round my head how they think that because I have had 46 days leave so far this year, that I am somehow owing them time. Its bizarre. Surely I am paid for 32 of those days, holiday pay and the rest I am simply not contracted to work.0

you could take the view that if you work through when you reach 43 weeks working you can stop, point that out to them.
Ask them to show which weeks you will be working to make 43,
If they want to work this extra week which week will they be taking off the normal list?0
