Accountancy help needed.

Can someone help? I am getting a lump sum payment from my ex-husband, for a clean break payment from my divorce, will I have to pay capital gains tax on it? And is there anything else I would have to pay on it? Thanks

I cannot imagine where Capital Gains tax comes into play in a divorce lump sum settlement for the recipient.  No.

Now if the person making the payment had to sell assets which became liable to Capital Gains tax, shares, property etc, that is a different matter for that person.
