Night worker

I do 48 hours one week and 60 next. Night's.  Two day shift every two weeks.
Never been offered a health assessment on joining. What is the legal stance on this?
I also work in a area I can get compensatory rest.  Does that include rota days off? 90 hours compensatory rest?
Hard one is Friday morning finish. Off that night back in Saturday morning.  Pretty bad as Friday sleeping so day off is in bed after a 12 hour shift. Then can't sleep and out door early hours for day shift. Myself and colleague getting sick of it as we are constantly exhausted due to pattern.  Few dr's I have seen over the months have expressed concerns over the rota. It's brewing health issues they already know for night workers but my rota more this Friday into a Saturday day bubbling pot for health concerns. So I am worried and not helped I am disabled and no support to have a chat at work. Indeed it's a sweep under the carpet attitude from colleagues accounts of things outside this matter.

Thoughts please.

Your post isn't clear. You say you are a night shift worker but then talk about rotating shifts. My employer would class you as a rotational worker and you wouldn't get the 3 yearly health assessments that night shift workers (like myself) get.
The health assessments themselves don't mean much. My employers routinely ignore them or simply have meetings where they ask what they can do to help - and then say no. I've binned every one I've had in 20 years on nights.

Every doctor I've ever met has said nights is bad for you. One even said 4 out of 5 nuclear accidents were caused by the night shift. Their opinions are irrelevant. Entire industries run 24 hours a day and require night shift manning, which is not illegal.

If you have a problem working your current shift pattern then look to switch to an alternative pattern. In my opinion rotating days/nights patterns are the worst option with a set shift but rotating days being the second worst. If your company has only one shift pattern available then you need to carry on with it or look for another job. This is just the way it is with shift work.
