FIXED TERM MORTGAGE WITH PAYMENT HOLIDAY

Our mortgage fixed term of 5 years was due to end in March 2021 but recently we took a 3 month payment holiday, does this mean our fixed term will extend until June or still end in March.

Comments

  • Your fixed term ended in March. Your holiday ended in June, why have you waited six months to check your mortgage?

The authorised arrears applied to the mortgage but not the deal.  The deal will still expire on the planned date.

This is NOT great news as your in arrears at the moment.
At the end of March 2021 your current fixed rate deals ends and you will go onto the SVR or whatever the mortgage reverts too ( perhaps a tracker deal ?)
You can't get a new deal with your current lender as your in arrears unless you can clear the debt before March 2021.
