Any advice? Do I go direct or via an agency?

What kind of story are you talking about?0

It would need to be something huge to get money for it.
What's your motivation? To make £20 or because you genuinely believe the story is of interest?

It's an interesting story with some amazing photos but not huge.Deleted_User said:It would need to be something huge to get money for it.

I suppose my motivation is to get more recognition for some of the things that I do and maybe this will be good publicity. Of course it may well be a complete waste of time, but I don't have that much to do with my time at the moment anyway.
I might try an agency. A lot of them seem to have rather tawdry looking websites so I'll look for something more professional.0 -
Before you do, consider whether it's content they can't already get for free from elsewhere. Few stories are known only by one individual or sufficiently interesting to earn money from.
If you want publicity, go to your local paper, where they're more likely to publish contributor content.

Are you sure this is actually news and not a feature or editorial? Your route is likely to be different depending which it is.Chomeur said:
