I find Boots generally overpriced for Christmas gifts
I find Boots overpriced for pretty much everything it sells.
American owned, tax avoiding, refusing to pay rents on its properties, treating its staff badly - a shop I'd avoid at all costs.
Then I would assume that the 'Boots Star Gift' thread is not for you?
The Star gifts (particularly the Clinique ones) are something I look out for every year, but I do question those people who go out of their way to tell a bunch of strangers that they won't be buying here - what's the point?

Because it’s an open forum, and there’s a perception among quite a lot of Boots customers that it’s a reputable British company.
In reality it’s neither British nor reputable, and it’s also actively avoided paying taxes which would have supported the NHS that feeds it.

I always buy the Clinique Black Friday Men's set at Boots every year - its a fantastic deal. Even better when Boots also give advantage card points on top of the half price deal. Can't fault it.

Awareness matters.
When did you class it as a British company? The current largest shareholder of the combined group was the largest shareholder of Boots. I think reverse takeover is the technical term usually used

It's not been a British company for many years - it just likes to give the impression of being one. And to play down the tax avoidance.
