Coventry building society mortgage

Hi all, I’m hoping our mortgage application is being submitted to Coventry building society this week by our broker, has anyone got any recent experiences with them? Timelines?

Comments

  • Yes, me! I'm a FTB on furlough, my application was submitted by my broker on 3rd Sept and my offer came through last Monday (20th). They didn't ask me for any further information to be submitted or ask for a back to work letter from my employer. In fact the whole process was completely painless, I was very surprised (and really, really pleased!)
  • Thank you so much for your reply, that has eased some of my anxiety!
  • We’re using Coventry via a broker. It has all been very fast! The broker started by putting through an AIP on 31/7, and even though it was referred to the underwriters it came through on 3/8. The full application was put in the same day and came through on 12/8.

We then messed things around by negotiating a price reduction so the request to amend went in on 8/9 and came through on 15/9.

Reading some of the stories on here of waiting for weeks or months with other providers, I feel very lucky!

@housefor3 did you get your offer back yet? :)
  • @SaintJudy we are still waiting, our broker didn’t submit our application until the 7th October and we have a valuation 26th October.
  • I shod hopefully be hearing back tomorrow/Tuesday. Valuation was the last thing to tick off and that was completed Friday.

All in all will be at most 14 days since we made the initial call.
