Advice on how to avoid parcelforce

Absolutely terrible, poor service. I honestly don’t understand how this company keeps on getting away with being so unprofessional and having no system in place.
Sure, they respond to my complaint by using a template email with the obligatory covid card, but my parcel took just 5 days to get through numerous states in the US and make it to Heathrow (this was USPS). Parcelforce took nearly a month to get my parcel from Heathrow to THE WRONG ADDRESS! Last time I checked, America have been suffering from covid, hurricanes and forest fires. So parcelforce have no excuse. I spent hours on the phone trying to get hold of the Liverpool depot to try and get the driver to go back to pick up my parcel from the random address he left it at.
The whole system strikes me as a form of chaotic lottery, where their customers will always come off worse.
Unprofessional with a blatant disregard for customers. This greedy company need to be stopped.
Could anyone give me some advice on how to avoid parcelforce getting their grubby hands on my future deliveries? I would gladly pay extra for another company who have a better reputation if it takes away the stress of having to deal with parcelforce. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

ParcelForce are of one of the worst organisations I have ever had to deal with so I feel your pain!USPS will always handover to ParcelForce (or Royal Mail if it’s small). To avoid you would have to ensure the sender used a courier but you may end up paying more for shipping. I have stock regularly sent from suppliers in the US and asked them to switch to DHL instead. Usually takes 2 to 3 working days door-to-door with a service far superior to ParcelFarce in every way.
Fedex or UPS are other possibilities but probably more expensive than DHL.0 -

But why are you posting in the Local MoneySavingSpotted a local bargain? Let local MoneySavers know! Part of the forum? Where is the local money saving?
Perhaps posting in the vents and warnings forum would be better? The world is not ruined by the wickedness of the wicked, but by the weakness of the good. Napoleon0 -

Indeed, agree with you @Andy_L
As an aside; Parcelforce Exeter are diabolical.
Wondering if they're a franchised organisation because when Bristol was my local branch it was above and beyond in every single way.0 -
I've had something shipped from the US using USPS - and I had a customs charge to pay. Parcelforce allegedly wrote to me with a magic code to allow me to pay, but I haven't received the letter.
I decided to call them to enquire, got the code paid the charge online and selected a delivery for yesterday (confirmed via email) - checking the tracking information yesterday I noted that the customs charge was apparently still outstanding and I would therefore not be receiving delivery...
Phoned them up, got told I hadn't selected a delivery date... but the charge was paid - so allegedly it will arrive on Monday. (Not holding my breath on this)
Next time I'm requesting FedEx/ DHL etc. to avoid the USPS / Parcelforce fandango0
