Where have all the tickets gone?

Hi all,
I need to travel between Chesterfield and Newcastle on Sunday 11th October at around 10am.
Looking at Cross Country Trains website [as I can amend advanced tickets] the message I get is "No tickets are available, please refine your search"
So will the tickets appear at some point or have they really sold out?

They would have appeared weeks ago. Its possible that yes they have sold out given the reduced capacity they are operating under. Either that or there is engineering works 🤷‍♂️

Maybe look at Doncaster -Newcastle services with East Coast and use local trains to connect to it.

Engineering works north of Newcastle that day.

    LNER are advising against travel.

That wouldnt account for the no tickets further south though, will just be they are sold out on X Country trains. Just looked at LNER and availability that morning between Doncaster and Newcastle.

The OP is travelling from Chesterfield. The connecting service may be the issue.

When I had to travel with Cross Country a couple of weeks ago, it first said no tickets available, but they finally appeared about 10 days before I travelled.

There are no direct trains around that time.

I wouldn't buy it from XC as you'll be paying a fortune, however you can find fares available from £20.67; see:
