I only found out there was such a thing as a pneumonia jab today - when I had the flu jab.
It reminded me I’ve seen things about serious covid cases & pneumonia.

Has anyone had the pneumonia jab? Was it because of covid?

Same for me I got it a number of years back when I got my flu jab from the doctor as I have asthma. It was really sore compared to the flu jab I remember I got one in each arm and pneumonia arm throbbed for days. They only top it up every 10 years I believe?

The pneumonia vaccine protects against infections caused by the bacteria streptococcus pneumoniae.
It doesn't prevent pneumonia caused by other bacteria and viruses such as Covid.2 -
The pneumonia jab is offered at 65 years old and a one off vaccine.
As said it did hurt more than the flu jab I had mine 3 years ago

- adults aged 65 or over
- children and adults with certain long-term health conditions, such as a serious heart or kidney condition
I had it at around 7 years ago, so I was about 25years old.2 -
I've had it done because I've got Rheumatoid Arthritis, arm hurt a bit after. My consultant said I need it every five years, doctors surgery say I don't. Next time I see my consultant I'm going to check again.1
