Haven't checked, but almost certainly Ulsterbus from Europa Buscente to strabane, then local service to Letterkenny.0

Bus.
Belfast to Derry. Derry to Letterkenny. Just under 3hrs.0 -
There is a direct bus from somewhere in Belfast to Letterkenny, if you want I can ask the person who uses it for the details?
Cheers, Des.0 -
Ulsterbus Belfast -> Derry (easy)
Bus Eireann Derry -> Letterkenny (hint - look at the derry - sligo route on their web site)
Or Lough swilly (rubbish busses!!) also do Derry->Letterkeyy
Strabane would be teh long way round.0 -
forgot there is a bus that leaves from outside jurys (NOT THE AIRBUS)
big plain white bus wiht a wee sign in the front window. think it leaves at sometime 16.00-17.30 on weekdays. the driver parks it round the side of the college sqare east tech. may be worth a look around0 -
Patrick Gallagher's coach departs jurys hotel Belfast monday to saturday evenings at 5.30 pm - should have you in letterkenny by about 7.45. single fare is about 15 euro i think - well worth it - no need to change, wait for connections etc. It goes on out from letterkenny through kilmacrennan to annagry direction if you need tio go further than letterkenny. different timetable on sundays - check website at
http://www.littleireland.ie/gallagherscoaches/index.htm0 -
finally....
i think airporter now run a service between letterkenny and the belfast airports.
cantact them.
the route isnt listed on their site but i think i read its running in the paper.
you can get their number from http://www.airporter.co.uk
They will prob be dear though but the busses are always pretty empty0 -

Doh! I was thinking of Lifford, not Letterkenny! Though the difference in the routes is only 8 miles.0 -

Although the difference in distance is small, the bus from Belfast to Strabane is like a service bus that takes bloody ages, as opposed to the express bus to Derry that takes 1hr 40mins.
And Lough Swilly aren't rubbish, they're "rustic"Life in this world is, as it were, a sojourn in a cave. What can we know of reality? For all we can see of the true nature of existence is, shall we say, no more than bewildering and amusing shadows cast upon the inner wall of the cave by the unseen blinding light of absolute truth, from which we may or may not deduce some glimmer of veracity, and we as troglodyte seekers of wisdom can only lift our voices to the unseen and say humbly "Go on, do deformed rabbit again.....it's my favourite". © Terry Pratchett in "Small Gods"
