Amazon job

Does anyone work for amazon. They are hiring om fixed term contract until January. However it says on the advert that its a new fulfilment centre. I would imagine that that they would need staff permanently. What are the chances of people being kept on?

Depends if you’re good at your job. If they like you then you’ll probably be kept on as they always need staff

No its a direct hire.

I worked for Amazon in Swansea during the lockdown for 3 months. It was fine - in fact the second time I've worked there. As long as you work hard they are fine with you. Lots of temps there chasing permanent jobs - it seemed a bit of a lottery as to who they offered the elusive 'blue badges' of permanency to. 'Green Badges' are temporary staff.

There was lots of overtime available and generally its a great place to work. I would go back and my partner has applied for a part time job there for Christmas!
