Change address in mortgage offer

How difficult is it change the address on a mortgage offer? We are with Santander, offer valid until jan but our sellers are delaying the completion and messing us about. If we pick another house is it easy to use our existing mortgage offer? Thanks!

The process of house buying and selling can't be speeded up though, a transaction is only as fast as the slowest party, so it could be 3 months, could be 9 months.
It's hard work, a wearing and trying period, and why a lot of older people try to do it as little as possible - to this end, if the folks at the very top of the chain are older people moving/downsizing etc then expect delays for reasons related to that.
Down at the bottom end, the younger/first time buyers, they are impatient to get moving, want it done in 3 months and that's where exasperation kicks in .....
If you pull out now, there is a good possibility that the next chain could be as slow or slower, it's never a fast process.
Also, every house has its own specific mortgage and you can't transfer your current mortgage offer to a new property.0
