When applying for a mortgage and a FTB what should you expect a mortgage broker to ask for? To be able to place you with the correct lender?

Latest 3 months payslips if employed and latest 3 years tax assessments and corresponding tax year overviews along with latest 3 months business bank statements if self employed. Latest 3 month personal bank statements. Proof of Id, proof of address dated within last 3 months, proof of deposit and credit report1 -
Mine set up an appointment and ran through my situation. My employment status, any debt, where the deposit had come from, income, any business dips recently, government grants, everything that he knew he'd have to take to the lenders to get a decision. Then I sent in bank statements, tax returns/wage slips, ID. If you find the right one, they'll guide you through it completely.Debt Free: 06/03/2020 Highest Debt: £37,5141

I ask about 5-10 questions on the initial phone call. That usually tells me if we can help or not.
If we can, I then ask customers to complete a factfind and send me a copy of the credit report.
